The North Valley Library is located at 7704 2nd St. NW on the east side of 2nd Street, approximately 9/10 of a mile north of Osuna Blvd and approximately 9/10 of a mile south of Paseo del Norte. The Library is next to First Choice Family Healthcare Center and shares the incoming parking lot entrance with the Center. The front entrance of the Library faces the parking lot rather than 2nd Street.
Route #10 North Fourth Street.
Plan your trip here.
Take I-25 to Paseo del Norte and head westbound to 2nd Street. Once on 2nd Street, follow the surface street directions.
Surface Street Directions heading South from Paseo del Norte:
Pass through three traffic lights at El Pueblo Rd., Ranchitos Rd. and Los Ranchos Rd. The Library is the fifth building on the left side of the street after the traffic light at Los Ranchos Road.
Surface Street Directions heading North from Osuna:
We are just beyond where 2nd Street curves north. Turn into the parking lot at the First Choice Family Healthcare Center and continue until you see the parking lot for the library.
April 14, 2014: Library staff and volunteers have been working on re-stocking the North Valley Library since March 17th when the movers finished reassembling and installing all the shelves and furniture. The majority of the collections, furniture, and fixtures are now back in place and we will re-open this week on Tuesday April 15th!
Some enhancements are not yet in place—including new reading chairs and a new young adult area—but they are on order and will be installed as soon as they arrive. The collections are also still ‘under construction’ as not all of the 50,000 plus books, audiobooks and DVD’s have been moved in yet. Let us know if there is something missing and will try to find it or order it.
We will all be celebrating this re-opening with a formal ceremony on Friday, May 2nd, at 2:30 p.m. Please joins us as we welcome back the North Valley Library!

We are a Fiction to Go location!
What is Fiction to Go? The Friends for the Public Library sells slightly used, recently published fiction titles for $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks. Like all funds that our Friends receive, all proceeds from Fiction to Go sales benefit the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Libraries!
